Don Francisco Hernandez Pacheco de Villamil was the first to create churros. He was born in Madrid, Spain, on November 28th 1882. He began his career at El Rey Sol restaurant. Where his father had worked before him. They served bread rolls deep-fried to golden brown. While they were serving these rolls. A customer asked Don Francisco if he knew of anyone. Who could make them the same way but without having to fry them. Don Francisco thought about this request and decided to make them with flour instead of oil. Don Francisco later opened Los Panaderos. A bakery in Plaza del Carmen. He continued to create different pastries, including churros. Josefina Arroyo, his wife, eventually left the business. La Reja Azul was her sweet shop. The bakery was then run by her husband. Their shops were eventually moved to Calle Alcaloz 1 Madrid, so they could sell more goods. The family lost all their money during World War II and stopped making food products.

How To Use A Churro Maker
- The bottom pan should be filled with water to about 1/2 inch below its top edge.
